policies from one Control Manager server to another.
All imported policies are owned by the root account.
Other users can copy imported policies to deploy
them.
This tool must be executed on Control Manager
servers. Exported policies generate into folders
that are named for the managed product that the
policy is used for. For example, OfficeScan
policies export to an "OfficeScan" folder.
Two types of files appear in the exported policies
folder:
- ImportPolicyConf.ini: used to define the properties
for exported policies
WARNING: Do not remove this file when importing a
policy.
- policy.json: the policy setting content that is
named by the policy
The import/Export Tool supports following commands:
--h,--help : Displays command line options and all
supported products.
--export : Exports all policies of the specified
product that are defined in the configuration file.
--import="folder path" : Imports all policies from
the specified folder.
The configuration file, generated during export, is
included in the folder.
- V-tag : This command line option is used with
"V-import". A tag is added during import and the
folder name becomes the tag name.
- --settype=product : Specifies the product in the
configuration file.
Please use the --h option to get more detailed
usages.
Enhancement 30:

are covered by the query results.
Enhancement 31:
[Hot Fix 1818] Trend Micro Mobile Security (for Mac(TM)) Database
File - The location of the database file
of Trend Micro Mobile Security (for Mac) 9.0 is moved
from "WebUI\WebApp\widget\repository\widgetPool\wp1\
proxy\modTMMS\" to "WebUI\WebApp\widget\repository\
widgetPool\product\TMMS\". This can help ensure that
the TMMS database will not be affected by the widget
pool update process.
Enhancement 32:
[Hot Fix 1820] Control Manager 6.0 Console - The performance of the
product tree on parent Control Manager 6.0 has been
enhanced to ensure that the product tree responds
well while Control Manager 6.0 cleans database
tables.
Enhancement 33:
[Hot Fix 1827] Control Manager 6.0 Console - Users can now search
for AD users in the "Import Active Directory Users"
page by matching user logon names.

Control Manager 5.0 report template. This ensures
that the vertical axis, which should represent
integer values only, does not display decimal points.
Enhancement 36:
[Hot Fix 1844] Policy Creation - Control Manager 6.0 now displays
the "No target specified. Please specify targets."
message to prompt users to specify products while
creating policies. This message is more general
compared to the old messages which explicitly state
what type of products need to be selected.
Enhancement 37:
[Hot Fix 1845] Ad Hoc Query - Control Manager 6.0 now supports the
protocol IDs, "Radmin" and "FTP_Response", in ad hoc
queries for Deep Discovery Inspector.
Enhancement 38:
[Hot Fix 1846] Log Purge Settings - Users can now add several log
age options in the log purge settings. Users can
select from these new options in a drop down menu on
the log purge settings page of the
Control Manager 6.0 console to set the number of days
that Control Manager 6.0 should keep logs before
purging them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Procedure 38: To add the new log age options:
a. Install this patch (see "Installation").
b. Open the "SystemConfiguration.xml" in the
Control Manager 6.0 home directory.
c. Locate the "m_strLogMaintenanceAgeOptions" key and
set your preferred values (in days) in the
following format.
d. Save the changes and close the file.
Notes:
- Users can add up to 50 new log age options.
- Users can change the default time setting but the
old default settings are stored in the
Control Manager server and will still be in the
drop-down list even when users remove it from the
"SystemConfiguration.xml" file. The stored value
will disappear only after a user deletes it from
the "SystemConfiguration.xml" file and selects a
new value to replace it.
- The new setting automatically takes effect after
one hour. However, users can restart
Control Manager earlier to allow the new value to
take effect immediately.
(cmdProcessor.exe) now supports product profile
merging for web service products.
Enhancement 42:
[Hot Fix 1859] Control Manager 6.0 Reports - Reports now display
the "No data to display" message when there is no
information to display.
2.2 Resolved Known Issues
=====================================================================
Control Manager 6.0 Patch 4 resolves the following issues:
Issue 1: An issue prevents the Agent Migration Tool of
Control Manager 6.0 from displaying agents from a
remote Control Manager 5.0.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 1:
[Hot Fix 1641] This hot fix enables the Control Manager 6.0 Agent
Migration Tool to display and migrate agents from
Control Manager 5.0 correctly.
Issue 2: The Control Manager 6.0 product tree response slows
down when Control Manager manages over 100,000
endpoints which makes it difficult for users to
edit the product tree.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 2:
[Hot Fix 1642] This hot fix enhances the performance of the product
tree to ensure that it still responds well when
Control Manager manages a large number of endpoints.
Issue 3: Control Manager initiates a pattern deployment
unexpectedly when no new pattern files were
downloaded.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 3:
[Hot Fix 1643] This hot fix ensures that Control Manager initiates a
pattern deployment only after successfully downloading
new pattern files.
Issue 4: The "Threat Encyclopedia" link in ad hoc queries
redirects to an out-dated URL.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 4:
[Hot Fix 1644] This hot fix updates the URL for the "Threat
Encyclopedia" link in ad hoc queries.
Issue 5: On versions 2008 and 2012 of the Microsoft Windows(TM)
Server platform, the CmdProcessor process stops
unexpectedly while updating product license
information.
string information of Data Loss Prevention templates.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 6:
[Hot Fix 1646] This hot fix enables Control Manager 6.0 to completely
record the severity string information of Data Loss
Prevention templates.
Issue 7: In spyware event notifications, the "%entity%"
variable always shows the path to the corresponding
server of an infected endpoint and not the specific
path to an infected endpoint.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 7:
[Hot Fix 1660] This hot fix ensures that the "%entity%" variable in
event notification logs always display the specific
path to infected endpoints.
Issue 8: Deployment issues trigger CmdProcessor to stop
unexpectedly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 8:
[Hot Fix 1661] This hot fix resolves the deployment issues to
prevent these from triggering CmdProcessor to stop
unexpectedly.
Issue 9: "LogProcessor.exe" is hard-coded to use US English
for SQL servers which automatically sets the default
time format to "mm-dd-yyyy". This can cause issues
with French SQL servers because these servers which
use the "dd-mm-yyyy" time format.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 9:
[Hot Fix 1662] This hot fix hard-codes "LogProcessor.exe" to use
dynamic checking language for SQL servers to enable
Control Manager to set the time format to "dd-mm-yyyy"
when the SQL server is localized in French.
Issue 10: Control Manager cannot handle 302 status responses
from IWSVA when the single sign-on (SSO) option is
enabled for IWSVA in the Control Manager policy
deployment settings. As a result, Control Manager
cannot deploy policies to IWSVA under this scenario.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 10:
[Hot Fix 1663] This hot fix disables the auto redirect feature for
IWSVA policy deployment in Control Manager. This
ensures that Control Manager can successfully send
policies to IWSVA.
Issue 11: An exception error that occurs when Control Manager
cannot connect to the SQL server can cause
"cmdProcessor.exe" to stop unexpectedly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 11:
[Hot Fix 1664] This hot fix prevents "cmdProcessor.exe" from stopping
unexpectedly by enabling Control Manager to catch the
exception and to attempt to connect to the SQL server
again.
Issue 12: For debugging purposes, Control Manager 6.0 keeps
millions of logs in the "tb_TreeRecountDebugLog"
database table which uses up a large amount of
memory resources.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 12:
[Hot Fix 1667] This hot fix removes the "tb_TreeRecountDebugLog"
database table to free up some space in the database.
Issue 13: When the SQL server receives SQL statements for ad hoc
queries from Control Manager, it may not be able to
correctly identify criteria in these SQL statements
because there is no separator between the criteria and
the rest of the statements.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 13:
[Hot Fix 1668] This hot fix adds enables Control Manager to separate
the criteria from the rest of the SQL statements using
an open and close parenthesis "(" ")". This ensures
that the SQL server can properly identify the criteria
and return the correct logs.
Issue 14: The ad hoc query results for Detailed Behavior
Monitoring Information contain inaccurate log
generation time information.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 14:
[Hot Fix 1669] This hot fix resolves a time zone issue in Behavior
Monitoring log generation to ensure that ad hoc query
results for Detailed Behavior Monitoring Information
always contain the correct log generation time
information.
Issue 15: A pop-up warning message appears when users attempt
to save changes to the settings in the "Log
Maintenance" page of the Control Manager console.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 15:
[Hot Fix 1670] This hot fix ensures that users can successfully make
and save changes to the settings in the "Log
Maintenance" page of the Control Manager console.
Issue 16: Control Manager 6.0 does not show agentless registered
products such as Trend Micro Deep Security(TM) Manager
in the Product Directory.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 16:
[Hot Fix 1671] This hot fix removes an unnecessary product-filtering
condition to ensure that Control Manager 6.0 displays
registered agentless products in the Product
Directory.
Issue 17: An issue prevents Control Manager 6.0 from catching
certain SQL exceptions which can cause "DMServer.exe"
to stop unexpectedly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 17:
[Hot Fix 1684] This hot fix enables Control Manager 6.0 to catch
SQL exceptions to ensure that these do not trigger
"DMServer.exe" to stop unexpectedly.
Issue 18: The new pattern "C&C IP List" does not appear in the
"Product Summary" page.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 18:
[Hot Fix 1689] This hot fix ensures that the "C&C IP List" appears on
the "Product Summary" page.
Issue 19: An exception error occurs on the user interface when
users attempt to display search results on the product
tree in "Product view" mode.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 19:
[Hot Fix 1690] This hot fix resolves the exception error to ensure
that users can display search results on the product
tree in "Product view" mode.
Issue 20: Sometimes, some log ID fragments remain after
Control Manager 6.0 runs the log purge function. When
this happens, Control Manager 6.0 may not be able to
properly sync relevant information between general
logs and Command & Control (C&C) logs because the
ID fragments interfere with the watermark retrieval
process.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 20:
[Hot Fix 1691] This hot fix enables Control Manager 6.0 to sync
relevant information between general logs and C&C logs
in the presence of log ID fragments.
Issue 21: In Microsoft Internet Explorer(TM), users will not be
able to view the "Ad Hoc Query Results" page after
clicking the "Refresh" button on the same page when
the ad hoc query name includes European characters.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 21:
[Hot Fix 1693] This hot fix ensures that users can refresh the "Ad
Hoc Query Results" page even when the ad hoc query
name includes European characters.
Issue 22: A period character "." disappears from the description
of ad hoc query results for User Access Information
when users disable the Access Log through the "Log
Maintenance" page.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 22:
[Hot Fix 1694] This hot fix prevents the period character "." from
disappearing from the description on the ad hoc query
results for User Access Information.
Issue 23: The AD user list does not appear when users click the
"Search" button on the "Administration > Account
Management > User Accounts > Import AD User" page
twice consecutively.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 23:
[Hot Fix 1696] This hot fix ensures that Control Manager 6.0 can
display the AD user list under this situation.
Issue 24: An issue prevents users from making and saving changes
in "Policy Management > Privileges and Other
Settings > C&C Contact Alert Settings" for OfficeScan
clients.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 24:
[Hot Fix 1699] This hot fix resolves the issue to ensure that users
can successfully make and save changes in "Policy
Management > Privileges and Other Settings > C&C
Contact Alert Settings" for OfficeScan clients.
Issue 25: After receiving logs from managed products,
Control Manager 6.0 returns the wrong code to the
MCPagent. As a result, CMAgent debug logs on the
product side may contain information that is not
consistent with the information in the corresponding
logs in Control Manager 6.0.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 25:
[Hot Fix 1703] This hot fix enables Control Manager 6.0 to return the
correct code to the MCPagent after receiving logs from
managed products. This ensures that CMAgent debug logs
on the product side contain the same information as
the corresponding logs in Control Manager 6.0.
Issue 26: When installed on a computer running on the French
version of an operating system, Control Manager 6.0
does not delete old logs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 26:
[Hot Fix 1704] This hot fix enables Control Manager 6.0 to delete old
logs when installed on a computer running on a French
operating system.
Issue 27: The current widget framework has the following two
issues:
- some user interface strings are not encoded
correctly which causes widgets to display garbage
characters.
- the "Add Widget" page uses the wrong "datetime"
format.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 27:
[Hot Fix 1705] This hot fix updates the widget framework to resolve
both issues.
Issue 28: Users do not receive any Command and Control (C&C)
callback outbreak alert notifications from
Control Manager 6.0.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 28:
[Hot Fix 1706] This hot fix enables Control Manager 6.0 to send C&C
callback outbreak alert notifications to users.
Issue 29: Some information on the "Edit DLP template" page are
not localized.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Configuration Replication" page are not localized.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 34:
[Hot Fix 1712] This hot fix ensures that all strings on the
"Configuration Replication" page are correctly
localized.
Issue 35: When Control Manager 6.0 sends "C&C callback alert"
notifications, Control Manager allows the conversion
of an incorrect localized string from an action
result. This situation occurs due to incorrect ID
mapping rules.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 35:
[Hot Fix 1713] This hot fix prevents Control Manager 6.0 from
converting an incorrect localized string from an
action result when Control Manager sends "C&C callback
alert" notifications.
7. Known Issues
========================================================================
Here are the known issues for this release:
7.1 DLP incidents received before Patch 2 installation cannot be
displayed in DLP widgets until the incidents are summarized by
daily incident maintenance.
=====================================================================
[ SCENARIO ]
DLP incidents received before Patch 2 installation cannot be
displayed in DLP widgets.
[ IMPACT ]
The incident information displayed in DLP widgets may be
inconsistent with the Incident Information list.
[ WORKAROUND ]
After Patch 2 installation, wait for daily incident maintenance
(at 02:00) to summarize the incidents. Then the incidents
received before Patch 2 installation can be display in DLP
widgets.
7.2 The C&C Callback Events widget shows incorrect Callback Attempts
values when Log Aggregation is enabled for Content Security or
Personal Firewall logs.
=====================================================================
[ SCENARIO ]
Users enable Log Aggregation for Content Security or
Personal Firewall logs.
[ IMPACT ]
Since the aggregated logs are counted as one log entry, the C&C
Callback Events widget shows incorrect Callback Attempts values.
[ WORKAROUND ]
Disable Log Aggregation for Content Security or Personal Firewall
logs.
7.3 Syslog notification content contains a redundant "Domain" token
when users roll back Control Manager 6.0 Patch 2 or 3 and install
the patch again.
=====================================================================
[ SCENARIO ]
Users roll back Control Manager 6.0 Patch 2 or 3 and install the
patch again.
[ IMPACT ]
The end of syslog notification content contains a redundant
"Domain" token.
[ WORKAROUND ]
Manually remove the redundant token from the
"tb_sendSyslogNotification" table in the Control Manager
database.
7.4 Internet Explorer caches the old Javascript which prevents
widgets from executing the correct Javascript and triggers an
exception.
=====================================================================
[ SCENARIO ]
Before installing Patch 4, when users log on to the
Control Manager 6.0 console in Internet Explorer and navigate
to the dashborad, the browser may cache the Javascript.
[ IMPACT ]
Because the browser runs an older Javascript in the cache,
widgets do not work and display "Widget framework error.
Restart the server. If this problem persists, reinstall the
server or contact your support provider." message.
[ WORKAROUND ]
Manually clean the browser cache by following the procedure
below:
1. In Internet Explorer, press F12 to go to "developer tools"
mode.
2. Select "Cache" on the toolbox and select the following
the confirmed information in a pop-up message during
the replication process.
8.2.2 Resolved Known Issues
=====================================================================
Control Manager 6.0 Patch 2 resolves the following issues:
Issue 1: An extra option, "Scan all files in removable storage
after plugging in", appears on the "Policy Management"
page of the OfficeScan client user interface. This
option does not appear in the OfficeScan server main
console.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 1:
[Hot Fix 1423] The option has been removed from the "Policy
Management" page of the OfficeScan client user
interface.
Issue 2: The Deep Security Widgets display the "No data to
display" message even when the connection settings
have been properly configured.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 2:
[Hot Fix 1423] The Deep Security Widgets now always display the
correct data after users have properly configured
the connection settings.
Issue 3: Scheduled reports are generated one hour ahead of the
correct time when daylight saving time is enabled.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 3:
[Hot Fix 1423] Scheduled reports are now generated on time even after
daylight saving time is enabled.
Issue 4: A product's license status is displayed as
"up-to-date" even after the corresponding AC key has
expired.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 4:
[Hot Fix 1423] Now, Control Manager always displays the correct
product license status.
Issue 5: The detailed command tracking list of ad hoc queries
does not display scheduled and manual download
commands.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
solution 5:
[Hot Fix 1423] Ad hoc queries can now track scheduled and manual
download commands.
Issue 6: A long AD account can prevent users from logging on to
the OfficeScan web console through SSO.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 6:
[Hot Fix 1423] Users can now use long AS account names to log on to
the OfficeScan web console through SSO.
Issue 7: Control Manager cannot deploy licenses when users
log on to the Control Manager console using a
long AD account name.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 7:
[Hot Fix 1423] Control Manager can now deploy licenses under this
scenario.
Issue 8: Dashboard settings can be rolled back if the AD
account used to log on to the Control Manager console
contains spaces.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 8:
[Hot Fix 1423] The dashboard settings can no longer be rolled back
under this scenario.
Issue 9: The daily database cleanup function may not work
when there are more than five million logs in the
Control Manager database.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 9:
[Hot Fix 1423] The daily database cleanup function now works and
keeps the Control Manager database size manageable.
Issue 10: The pattern "Web Blocking Full List" cannot be
downloaded correctly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 10:
[Hot Fix 1423] This issue has been resolved.
Issue 11: When a widget update completes, the update time in the
"Add Widgets" page become incorrect.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 11:
[Hot Fix 1423] This issue has been resolved.
Issue 12: An error message appears when users click entity icons
in the product page after logging on using an AD
account.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 12:
[Hot Fix 1426] The error has been resolved to allow users to access
entities through the product page after logging on
using an AD account.
Issue 13: If users uncheck the "When new updates found" option
in the deployment settings section of the
Control Manager component download screen, the
components will not be deployed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 13:
[Hot Fix 1433] Control Manager now deploys new or existing components
once the download ends if the "When new updates found"
option is not selected.
Issue 14: Control Manager reports display "IsInUse=0" instead of
the correct pattern information for OfficeScan clients
with outdated pattern files.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 14:
[Hot Fix 1434] Control Manager reports now display the correct
pattern information for OfficeScan clients with
outdated pattern files.
Issue 15: A vulnerability may allow an attacker to trigger
cross-site attacks through the Control Manager login
page.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 15:
[Hot Fix 1435] The Control Manager login page has been updated to
prevent attackers from launching cross-site attacks
through the module.
Issue 16: The detailed scheduled download settings of the "Data
Access Layer components and Plug-in Manager widget
pool" component cannot be saved correctly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 16:
[Hot Fix 1444] The detailed settings of this specific component can
now be saved without issues.
Issue 17: The "SPSTool.exe" tool is set to work with "anyCPU"
type. However, the tool cannot run on non-x86
platforms (non-32-bit platforms) that use external
32-bit DLLs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 17:
[Hot Fix 1445] The "SPSTool.exe" tool now uses "x86" instead of
"AnyCPU" which allows it to run on non-x86 platforms
that use external 32-bit DLLs.
Issue 18: A vulnerability on the ad hoc query module can
potentially attract arbitrary SQL commands in the
backend database of Control Manager.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 18:
[Hot Fix 1449] The proper filters have been added to prevent
attackers from launching SQL injection attacks through
the ad hoc query module.
Issue 19: When HTTP requests launch multiple threads to create
PDF reports, the ABCpdf module may not receive the
complete page information for the reports. When this
happens, the PDF reports display empty pie charts.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 19:
[Hot Fix 1450] Control Manager now only allows a single thread to
create each PDF report.
Issue 20: The "Delete" and "Forward" buttons in the "Scheduled
Report History" page become bigger when users enter
dates in the wrong format while creating a new
scheduled report. This issue occurs because Control
Manager inserts the corresponding alert message into
the HTML header.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 20:
[Hot Fix 1452] Control Manager now uses another function to handle
the alert message for this situation. This ensures
that the buttons in the "Scheduled Report History"
page are always displayed in the normal size.
Issue 21: In the "Create > Filter by Criteria > Set Filter"
option on the "Policy > Policy Management" page, the
product tree may appear or disappear regardless of
whether the product directory checkbox is checked or
not.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 21:
[Hot Fix 1453] Control Manager can now correctly display the product
tree when the product directory checkbox is checked
and does not display the product tree when the check
box is unchecked.
Issue 22: When users create a policy for IMSVA in
the "Policy Management" page, the list of selected
senders is incorrectly labeled as "To".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 22:
[Hot Fix 1454] The label for the list of selected senders has been
changed to "From".
Issue 23: Two "hour(s)" options appear in the drop-down menu of
Step 4 of the procedure for adding a policy for
ScanMail (for Exchange) in the "Policy Management"
page.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 23:
[Hot Fix 1455] Some display strings have been corrected to ensure
that no duplicate options appear on the drop-down
menu.
Issue 24: When users add a new policy under the IMSVA
DLP policy setting page, make some changes, click
"Save" at any step of the procedure, and leave the
window open, clicking the "Add" button again on the
policy creation page can reset the previous rule
settings page to step 1. When this happens, all the
previously saved settings will be lost. Clicking
the "Add" button a third time triggers a warning
message.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 24:
[Hot Fix 1456] Control Manager now checks if another rule setting
window is open each time users click the "Add" button
on the policy creation page. If another rule setting
window is running, Control Manager displays a warning
message to alert users that they need to close the
other window first before opening a new one.
Issue 25: Users encounter a 404 error code after clicking the
"How to get device information" link in the OfficeScan
client DLP policy settings page.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 25:
[Hot Fix 1457] A link error has been resolved to ensure that users
can access the correct information after clicking the
"How to get device information" link in the OfficeScan
client DLP policy settings page.
Issue 26: An issue causes CmdProcessor to stop unexpectedly while
processing deployment commands.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 26:
[Hot Fix 1458] CmdProcessor can now successfully process deployment
commands.
Issue 27: The page indicator in the "Policies > Policy
Resources > DLP Data Identifiers > Keyword Lists" tab
cannot be displayed correctly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 27:
[Hot Fix 1459] The page indicator in the "Policies > Policy
Resources > DLP Data Identifiers > Keyword Lists" tab
is now displayed correctly.
Issue 28: A page error prevents users from accessing the
"Configuration Replication" page by clicking the
option from the "Tasks" menu for a particular product
in the "Products" page.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 28:
[Hot Fix 1460] A setting for the double numeric string parsing task
has been changed to ensure that users can access
the "Configuration Replication" page without issues.
Issue 29: The "Server Type" field for a recently registered
product in the "Policies > Policy Resources > Managed
Servers" page of the Control Manager console may
display the wrong information.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 29:
[Hot Fix 1460] The "Server Type" field in the "Policies > Policy
Resources > Managed Servers" page of the
Control Manager console now displays the
correct information.
Issue 30: The "Server Type" field for a recently registered
product in the "Policies > Policy Resources > Managed
Servers" page of the Control Manager console may
display the wrong information.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 30:
[Hot Fix 1461] The "Server Type" field in the "Policies > Policy
Resources > Managed Servers" page of the
Control Manager console now displays the
correct information.
Issue 31: While creating an OfficeScan client policy, the combo
box for CD/DVD, floppy disks, network drives, and USB
storage devices under "Device Control Settings"
displays truncated text.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 31:
[Hot Fix 1462] The CD/DVD, floppy disks, network drives, and USB
storage devices combo box in the "Device Control
Settings" now displays the complete text.
Issue 32: The title bar of the Control Manager Maintaining Tool
window indicates the tool version as "5.5" instead of
"6.0".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 32:
[Hot Fix 1463] The tool window's title bar has been corrected to
indicate the correct tool version which is "6.0".
Issue 33: The page indicator in the "Policies > Policy
Resources > DLP Data Identifies > File Attributes" tab
of the Control Manager console displays the wrong page
number.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 33:
[Hot Fix 1465] The page indicator in the "Policies > Policy
Resources > DLP Data Identifies > File Attributes" tab
of the Control Manager console now displays the
correct page number.
Issue 34: When Control Manager uses a database with a collation
that is different from the original database,
newly-created user accounts lose their permissions.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 34:
[Hot Fix 1466] Control Manager can now successfully and correctly
create new user accounts using a database with a
different collation from the original database.
Issue 35: The column width of a table in the "Specify Targets"
page may prevent the Control Manager console from
displaying Japanese and French language content
correctly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 35:
[Hot Fix 1468] The column width of the table in the "Specify Targets"
page has been redefined to support Japanese and French
language contents.
Issue 36: On the "Edit Groups" page of the Control Manager
console, when users move a root user account from the
"User" box to the "Group User List" box, an empty line
appears before the first item in the "Group User List"
box.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 36:
[Hot Fix 1469] Blank lines no longer appear before the first item in
the "Group User List" box on the "Edit Groups" page.
Issue 37: When users attempt to set the Agent Migration tool to
connect to a particular Control Manager server by
specifying a valid IPv6 address and password, the IPv6
address becomes truncated.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 37:
[Hot Fix 1472] The specified IPv6 address can now be saved
completely allowing users to set the Agent Migration
Tool to connect to a particular Control Manager.
Issue 38: Some non-English strings cannot be displayed correctly
in the "Policy Settings" page for ScanMail (for
Exchange) on the Control Manager console.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 38:
[Hot Fix 1474] Non-English strings can now be displayed correctly in
the "Policy Settings" page for ScanMail (for Exchange)
on the Control Manager console.
Issue 39: The following vulnerabilities exist in
Control Manager 6.0 Patch 1:
- SQL injection vulnerability
- X-Path vulnerability
- Cross-site Scripting vulnerability
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 39:
[Hot Fix 1475] These vulnerabilities have been resolved.
Issue 40: The time of generation of Web Security logs in reports
generated from a dashboard widget does not match the
information in ad hoc query reports.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 40:
[Hot Fix 1476] The time of generation of Web Security logs in the
reports generated from the dashboard widget is now
consistent with the information on ad hoc query
reports.
Issue 41: When Control Manager 6.0 creates a one-time report
using the Control Manager 3.0 report template, the
generated report displays "unknown product" under the
product name field for some managed products.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 41:
[Hot Fix 1477] Several strings have been inserted for some products
in the legacy rpt files of the one-time report
template. This ensures that one-time reports can
display the correct product names.
Issue 42: The warning message that appears when users enter an
illegal password in the Event Center setting of ESMTP
is misleading.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 42:
[Hot Fix 1478] The warning message has been modified to make it more
accurate and clear.
Issue 43: Generated reports cannot show the necessary antispam
information. This issue occurs because the security
logs generated when the spam filter is triggered are
saved in another location instead of in the
"tb_IMSSData" database table.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 43:
[Hot Fix 1480] Control Manager can now save spam filter security
logs in the "tb_IMSSData" database table which ensures
that related reports can show the required antispam
information.
Issue 44: The reasses URL specified under the Web Reputation
settings of the OfficeScan client policies is not the
same reassess URL that OfficeScan actually uses.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 44:
[Hot Fix 1483] The reassess URL under the Web Reputation settings
section of the OfficeScan client policies have been
corrected.
Issue 45: The time in the "%time%" variable of customized event
notifications is in GMT instead of in the local time.
The corresponding event logs use the local time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 45:
[Hot Fix 1484] The time in the "%time%" variable of customized event
notifications is now in local time.
Issue 46: When users log onto the OfficeScan web console from
Control Manager through SSO, the client tree does not
display any OfficeScan client managed by the
particular OfficeScan server.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 46:
[Hot Fix 1485] All OfficeScan clients managed by the particular
OfficeScan server now appear on the client tree after
users log onto the OfficeScan web console from
Control Manager through SSO.
Issue 47: Users can add invalid values in the "To" field of the
"DLP identifies > File Attributes" tab.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 47:
[Hot Fix 1487] An input validator has been added for the "To" field
of the "DLP identifies > File Attributes" tab to
prevent users from adding invalid values to this field.
Issue 48: Sometimes, the widget in the dashboard does not show
any information.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 48:
[Hot Fix 1488] Control Manager no longer purges widget data and
existing ad hoc query data from the
"tb_selectedTreeNodes" table to ensure that the
dashboard widget can always display correct and
relevant information.
Issue 49: An exception error appears on the user interface
during step 2 of the procedure for creating new ad hoc
queries.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 49:
[Hot Fix 1489] Users can now create new ad hoc queries without
issues.
Issue 50: Some settings in the "SystemConfiguration.xml" file are
configured using either "yes" to enable or "no" to
disable which can cause translation issues in
non-English Control Manager versions.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 50:
[Hot Fix 1490] The settings that were originally configured by
"yes" or "no" are now configured using "0" to disable
and "1" or any other numerical value to enable.
Issue 51: On the "Manual Download" page, after a user specifies
an ActiveUpdate server URL with the
"activeupdate.trendmicro.com" string in the "Other
update source" field and save the change successfully,
Control Manager will not be able to display the URL.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 51:
[Hot Fix 1493] Control Manager now skips the URL-checking procedure
for a customized ActiveUpdate server URL.
Issue 52: Sometimes, the titles of generated reports that do not
contain any data are displayed in two lines instead of
in a single line.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 52:
[Hot Fix 1510] The titles of generated reports that do not contain
any data are now displayed in a single line.
Issue 53: A large number of "pbdxxx.tmp" files accumulate in the
Windows temp folder and take up disk space. This
occurs because the Active Update module version in
use does not delete these files promptly after
performing manual updates.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 53:
[Hot Fix 1511] The ActiveUpdate module has been updated to enable it
to promptly delete unused "pbdxxx.tmp" files in the
Windows temp folder after performing manual updates.
Issue 54: Some database tables are not cleaned regularly which
can cause the database to grow steadily over time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 54:
[Hot Fix 1512] Control Manager now regularly purges records in all
database tables to ensure the database size stays
within the manageable range.
Issue 55: A log processing issue causes the seed number in the
"tb_ADDomain" table to become too large. This can
prevent Control Manager from processing logs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 55:
[Hot Fix 1513] The log processing issue has been resolved to
ensure that the seed number in the "tb_ADDomain" table
is always accurate and that Control Manager can
process logs without issues.
Issue 56: Control Manager reports may incorrectly indicate that
the OfficeScan 10.5 engine is out-of-date. This occurs
when Control Manager receives a status log from
OfficeScan 10.5 that reports the engine version as
"0000" and the value of the "IsInUse" parameter is "1".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 56:
[Hot Fix 1514] Control Manager now checks the OfficeScan engine
version first, if the engine version is "0" or
"0000", Control Manager then sets the value of the
"IsInUse" parameter to "0". This ensures that Control
Manager reports will indicate the correct OfficeScan
engine version status.
Issue 57: By default, the following ad hoc query results should
contain the relevant Trend Micro Data Loss Prevention
(DLP) logs that were generated within the last seven
days.
- DLP Incident Information
- DLP Template Match Information
However, some relevant DLP logs that were generated
within the time period are missing from these ad hoc
query results.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 57:
[Hot Fix 1516] The ad hoc queries listed above now contain all
relevant DLP logs that were generated within the last
seven days.
Issue 58: Exception errors prevent users from adding multiple
AD users in Control Manager at the same time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 58:
[Hot Fix 1519] The exception errors have been resolved to enable
users to add multiple AD users to Control Manager at
the same time.
Issue 59: The Control Manager server may slow down or become
unavailable because the memory usage of the "MRF.exe"
and "DMsever.exe" processes is high.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 59:
[Hot Fix 1521] The TMI-MRF package now uses the fixed
"libTMI_dataMarshal.dll" module. This ensures
that the memory usage of the "MRF.exe" and
"DMsever.exe" processes remains normal and does not
affect the Control Manager server performance.
Issue 60: Users cannot add user account names that contain a
dollar sign "$".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 60:
[Hot Fix 1522] Control Manager now supports user account names that
contain a dollar sign "$".
Issue 61: The "Command Tracking" page of the Control Manager
console displays the original description for an
unsuccessful policy deployment event instead of the
translated version.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 61:
[Hot Fix 1524] The "Command Tracking" page now displays the correct
translation of the description for an unsuccessful
policy deployment event.
Issue 62: The "Finish" button in the "Add and Deploy a New
License" page of a managed product is bigger than the
other buttons on the page.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 62:
[Hot Fix 1525] All the buttons on the "Add and Deploy a New License"
page of a managed product are now of the same size.
Issue 63: The Trend Micro Encryption for Email (TMEE) widget
cannot display the TMEE device list on the Control
Manager console and displays "DataArmor" under the
product name field instead of "Full Disk Encryption".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 63:
[262287] The TMEE widget can now display the TMEE device list
on the Control Manager console and "DataArmor" has
been changed to "Full Disk Encryption" in
the product name field.
Issue 64: When users run an SCM update task for the second time
and on all succeeding SCM updates, the "TMPatch.log"
file in the "C:\" folder is overwritten with the
"TMPatch.log" file from the "DebugLog" folder.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 64:
[258744] The update process no longer overwrites the
"TMPatch.log" file under the "C:\" folder and
renames the file before transferring the
"TMPatch.log" file from the "DebugLog" folder instead.
It will rename the file back to its old name after
the update.
Issue 65: A third party Javascript module in the ScanMail (for
Exchange) widget causes a legal conflict.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 65:
[258383] The third party Javascript module in the ScanMail (for
Exchange) widget has been replaced with a new
function. This resolves the legal conflict.
Issue 66: An issue prevents Control Manager from deploying and
applying policies to OfficeScan clients running on
the Windows 8 platform.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 66:
[256510] A "Windows 2012" option has been added to the
"Policy Management" page for OfficeScan on the
Control Manager console. This ensures that Control
Manager can successfully deploy and apply policies to
OfficeScan clients.
Issue 67: Control Manager takes a long time to display the
product tree when there is a large number of entities
on the product tree.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 67:
[262473] Control Manager can now display the product tree
faster when there is a large number of entities on
the product tree.
Issue 68: Users are only allowed to set the number of days
before the cache settings for scans expire to "0".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 68:
[262200] Users can now set the expiration of on-demand scan
cache and digital signature cache to "1".
Issue 69: Some issues affect the performance of the Behavior
Monitoring settings and DLP settings pages.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 69:
[262200] These issues have been resolved.

Results widget and export the resulting data to a CSV
file, the CSV file will not contain any data.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 3:
[Hot Fix 1577] All the necessary data can now be successfully
exported to a CSV file.
Issue 4: It may take a long time for Control Manager to
establish an SSO connection when there
are products that have invalid IP addresses.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 4:
[Hot Fix 1578] Control Manager now verifies these invalid IP
addresses faster to shorten the time it
takes for Control Manager to establish an SSO
connection.
Issue 5: After ServerProtect for Windows NT registers to
Control Manager, the ServerProtect for Windows NT
Normal Server information that appears on the product
tree does not match the corresponding information in
the database.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 5:
[Hot Fix 1579] The correct ServerProtect for Windows NT Normal Server
information now appears on the product tree.
Issue 6: Control Manager applies the "Enable HTTPS for the
default update download source" setting only on the
first download source specified in the
"SystemConfiguration.xml" file.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 6:
[Hot Fix 1581] Control Manager now applies the "Enable HTTPS for the
default download source" setting on all download
sources specified in the "SystemConfiguration.xml"
file.
Issue 7: Control Manager may not be able to generate "Desktop
product > OfficeScan client information > Detailed
Summary" reports after some OfficeScan clients are
upgraded from version 8.0.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 7:
[Hot Fix 1582] The "Detailed Summary" report can now be generated
successfully.
Issue 8: The Deep Security Feature Summary widget displays
incorrect event count.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 8:
[Hot Fix 1584] The widget now displays the correct event count.
Issue 9: The size of the active area of the link for enabling
the debug information on the Control Manager 6.0
console is larger than necessary. This increases the
chances that users may accidentally enable the debug
information.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 9:
[Hot Fix 1585] The active area of the link was made smaller to match
the size of the same link in the Control Manager 5.5
console.
Issue 10: In the "Scheduled Report" page, the time displayed for
the next scheduled report generation may be a day
later than the correct time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 10:
[Hot Fix 1595] The "Scheduled Report" page now displays the correct
time for the next scheduled report generation.
Issue 11: DMServer stops unexpectedly because of some internal
error handling entities' off-hour data.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 11:
[Hot Fix 1598] The internal error has been resolved.
Issue 12: Users cannot create and save T OfficeScan client
policies based on the "Scan files being" rule's
"created/modified" or "retrieved" options.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 12:
[Hot Fix 1600] Users can now create and save OfficeScan client
policies based on the "Scan files being" rule's
"created/modified" or "retrieved" options.
Issue 13: In non-English Control Manager versions, some
information on the ScanMail (for Exchange) DLP page
are not translated to the correct language setting.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 13:
[Hot Fix 1601] All the information in the ScanMail (for Exchange) DLP
page of non-English Control Manager versions are now
translated to the correct language.
Issue 14: A localized time string in Control Manager prevents it
from syncing up with the French version of the
Microsoft SQL server.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 14:
[Hot Fix 1602] The triggering time string has been converted to the
standard format which is not language-dependent to
ensure that Control Manager can successfully sync up
with non-English SQL servers.
Issue 15: High frequency scheduled downloads and deployment
tasks can prevent cmdProcessor from running properly.
When this happens, Control Manager may not be able to
save scheduled downloads and process product
registration requests.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 15:
[Hot Fix 1604] cmdProcessor now works properly under this situation
which ensures that Control Manager can still save
scheduled downloads and process product registration
requests.
Issue 16: Sometimes, users cannot access the "Manual Download"
page and a 502 error code appears instead.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 16:
[Hot Fix 1605] The 502 error has been resolved to enable users to
access the "Manual Download" page without issues.
Issue 17: The Control Manager database grows rapidly when
Control Manager is configured to send out
notifications.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 17:
[Hot Fix 1606] The way Control Manager sends out notifications has
been modified to prevent the Control Manager database
from growing rapidly when Control Manager is set to
send out notifications.
Issue 18: When users create reports in HTML format and send these
through email, the pie charts in the reports disappear.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 18:
[Hot Fix 1609] Pie charts no longer disappear from HTML reports after
users send these reports through email.
Issue 19: There is no information under the "Detection Time"
column of the "v_FirewallRuleViolation" database table
for OfficeScan query results.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 19:
[Hot Fix 1621] The correct information now appears under the
"Detection Time" column of the
"v_FirewallRuleViolation" database table for
OfficeScan query results.
Issue 20: After users upgrade OfficeScan servers from any
earlier version to version 10.6, the corresponding
version information in the "Managed Servers" page
are not updated which can prevent Control Manager
from deploying policies to the upgraded OfficeScan
servers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 20:
[Hot Fix 1622] The OfficeScan version information in the "Managed
Servers" page are now updated promptly during upgrades
to allow Control Manager to successfully deploy
policies to all managed OfficeScan servers.
Issue 21: Control Manager cannot deploy policies to OfficeScan
clients that belong to OfficeScan servers that were
upgraded from versions earlier than OfficeScan 10.6.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 21:
[Hot Fix 1632] After applying this hot fix Control Manager is able to
complete policy deployment to clients that belong to
any OfficeScan 10.6 (or later) server.
Issue 22: Control Manager cannot deploy components to a
ServerProtect for Windows NT Normal Server through
the corresponding parent Information Server.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solution 22:
[Hot Fix 1633] Control Manager can now deploy components directly to
ServerProtect for Windows NT Normal Servers when it is
configured to deploy components through the
corresponding parent Information Server.
