Issue 42: The warning message that appears when users enter an illegal password in the Event Center setting of ESMTP is misleading. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 42: [Hot Fix 1478] The warning message has been modified to make it more accurate and clear. Issue 43: Generated reports cannot show the necessary antispam information. This issue occurs because the security logs generated when the spam filter is triggered are saved in another location instead of in the "tb_IMSSData" database table. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 43: [Hot Fix 1480] Control Manager can now save spam filter security logs in the "tb_IMSSData" database table which ensures that related reports can show the required antispam information. Issue 44: The reasses URL specified under the Web Reputation settings of the OfficeScan client policies is not the same reassess URL that OfficeScan actually uses. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 44: [Hot Fix 1483] The reassess URL under the Web Reputation settings section of the OfficeScan client policies have been corrected. Issue 45: The time in the "%time%" variable of customized event notifications is in GMT instead of in the local time. The corresponding event logs use the local time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 45: [Hot Fix 1484] The time in the "%time%" variable of customized event notifications is now in local time. Issue 46: When users log onto the OfficeScan web console from Control Manager through SSO, the client tree does not display any OfficeScan client managed by the particular OfficeScan server. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 46: [Hot Fix 1485] All OfficeScan clients managed by the particular OfficeScan server now appear on the client tree after users log onto the OfficeScan web console from Control Manager through SSO. Issue 47: Users can add invalid values in the "To" field of the "DLP identifies > File Attributes" tab. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 47: [Hot Fix 1487] An input validator has been added for the "To" field of the "DLP identifies > File Attributes" tab to prevent users from adding invalid values to this field. Issue 48: Sometimes, the widget in the dashboard does not show any information. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 48: [Hot Fix 1488] Control Manager no longer purges widget data and existing ad hoc query data from the "tb_selectedTreeNodes" table to ensure that the dashboard widget can always display correct and relevant information. Issue 49: An exception error appears on the user interface during step 2 of the procedure for creating new ad hoc queries. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 49: [Hot Fix 1489] Users can now create new ad hoc queries without issues. Issue 50: Some settings in the "SystemConfiguration.xml" file are configured using either "yes" to enable or "no" to disable which can cause translation issues in non-English Control Manager versions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 50: [Hot Fix 1490] The settings that were originally configured by "yes" or "no" are now configured using "0" to disable and "1" or any other numerical value to enable. Issue 51: On the "Manual Download" page, after a user specifies an ActiveUpdate server URL with the "activeupdate.trendmicro.com" string in the "Other update source" field and save the change successfully, Control Manager will not be able to display the URL. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 51: [Hot Fix 1493] Control Manager now skips the URL-checking procedure for a customized ActiveUpdate server URL. Issue 52: Sometimes, the titles of generated reports that do not contain any data are displayed in two lines instead of in a single line. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 52: [Hot Fix 1510] The titles of generated reports that do not contain any data are now displayed in a single line. Issue 53: A large number of "pbdxxx.tmp" files accumulate in the Windows temp folder and take up disk space. This occurs because the Active Update module version in use does not delete these files promptly after performing manual updates. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 53: [Hot Fix 1511] The ActiveUpdate module has been updated to enable it to promptly delete unused "pbdxxx.tmp" files in the Windows temp folder after performing manual updates. Issue 54: Some database tables are not cleaned regularly which can cause the database to grow steadily over time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 54: [Hot Fix 1512] Control Manager now regularly purges records in all database tables to ensure the database size stays within the manageable range. Issue 55: A log processing issue causes the seed number in the "tb_ADDomain" table to become too large. This can prevent Control Manager from processing logs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 55: [Hot Fix 1513] The log processing issue has been resolved to ensure that the seed number in the "tb_ADDomain" table is always accurate and that Control Manager can process logs without issues. Issue 56: Control Manager reports may incorrectly indicate that the OfficeScan 10.5 engine is out-of-date. This occurs when Control Manager receives a status log from OfficeScan 10.5 that reports the engine version as "0000" and the value of the "IsInUse" parameter is "1". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 56: [Hot Fix 1514] Control Manager now checks the OfficeScan engine version first, if the engine version is "0" or "0000", Control Manager then sets the value of the "IsInUse" parameter to "0". This ensures that Control Manager reports will indicate the correct OfficeScan engine version status. Issue 57: By default, the following ad hoc query results should contain the relevant Trend Micro Data Loss Prevention (DLP) logs that were generated within the last seven days. - DLP Incident Information - DLP Template Match Information However, some relevant DLP logs that were generated within the time period are missing from these ad hoc query results. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 57: [Hot Fix 1516] The ad hoc queries listed above now contain all relevant DLP logs that were generated within the last seven days. Issue 58: Exception errors prevent users from adding multiple AD users in Control Manager at the same time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 58: [Hot Fix 1519] The exception errors have been resolved to enable users to add multiple AD users to Control Manager at the same time. Issue 59: The Control Manager server may slow down or become unavailable because the memory usage of the "MRF.exe" and "DMsever.exe" processes is high. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 59: [Hot Fix 1521] The TMI-MRF package now uses the fixed "libTMI_dataMarshal.dll" module. This ensures that the memory usage of the "MRF.exe" and "DMsever.exe" processes remains normal and does not affect the Control Manager server performance. Issue 60: Users cannot add user account names that contain a dollar sign "$". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 60: [Hot Fix 1522] Control Manager now supports user account names that contain a dollar sign "$". Issue 61: The "Command Tracking" page of the Control Manager console displays the original description for an unsuccessful policy deployment event instead of the translated version. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 61: [Hot Fix 1524] The "Command Tracking" page now displays the correct translation of the description for an unsuccessful policy deployment event. Issue 62: The "Finish" button in the "Add and Deploy a New License" page of a managed product is bigger than the other buttons on the page. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 62: [Hot Fix 1525] All the buttons on the "Add and Deploy a New License" page of a managed product are now of the same size. Issue 63: The Trend Micro Encryption for Email (TMEE) widget cannot display the TMEE device list on the Control Manager console and displays "DataArmor" under the product name field instead of "Full Disk Encryption". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 63: [262287] The TMEE widget can now display the TMEE device list on the Control Manager console and "DataArmor" has been changed to "Full Disk Encryption" in the product name field. Issue 64: When users run an SCM update task for the second time and on all succeeding SCM updates, the "TMPatch.log" file in the "C:\" folder is overwritten with the "TMPatch.log" file from the "DebugLog" folder. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 64: [258744] The update process no longer overwrites the "TMPatch.log" file under the "C:\" folder and renames the file before transferring the "TMPatch.log" file from the "DebugLog" folder instead. It will rename the file back to its old name after the update. Issue 65: A third party Javascript module in the ScanMail (for Exchange) widget causes a legal conflict. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 65: [258383] The third party Javascript module in the ScanMail (for Exchange) widget has been replaced with a new function. This resolves the legal conflict. Issue 66: An issue prevents Control Manager from deploying and applying policies to OfficeScan clients running on the Windows 8 platform. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 66: [256510] A "Windows 2012" option has been added to the "Policy Management" page for OfficeScan on the Control Manager console. This ensures that Control Manager can successfully deploy and apply policies to OfficeScan clients. Issue 67: Control Manager takes a long time to display the product tree when there is a large number of entities on the product tree. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 67: [262473] Control Manager can now display the product tree faster when there is a large number of entities on the product tree. Issue 68: Users are only allowed to set the number of days before the cache settings for scans expire to "0". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 68: [262200] Users can now set the expiration of on-demand scan cache and digital signature cache to "1". Issue 69: Some issues affect the performance of the Behavior Monitoring settings and DLP settings pages. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 69: [262200] These issues have been resolved. 8.3 Patch 3 ===================================================================== 8.3.1 Enhancements ===================================================================== Control Manager 6.0 Patch 3 provides the following enhancements: Enhancement 1: [267250] CCCA Service - Control Manager 6.0 now supports the following features and enhancements related to the CCCA service: Widgets - C&C Callback Events - Unique Compromised Host Over Time Notifications - C&C callback alert - C&C callback outbreak alert Logs C&C Callback Information data view available under Security Threat Information Components Patterns available for updates: - C&C Information Pattern - Advanced Malware Pattern Enhancement 2: [Hot Fix 1574] Trend Micro InterScan Messaging Security Suite Security Logs - The "Marketing Message Scanning" filter type has been added for security logs from Trend Micro InterScan Messaging Security Suite (IMSS).
