What's New ======================================================================= Note: Please install this Patch before completing any procedures in this section (see "Installation"). This Patch addresses the following issues and includes the following enhancement: 2.1 Enhancements =================================================================== Worry-Free Business Security 8.0 Service Pack 1 Patch 1 adds the following enhancements: Enhancement 1: [Critical Patch 2042] Security Agent Installation - This Patch enables users to install the Worry-Free Business Security 8.0 Service Pack 1 Security Agent on computers running on the Microsoft(TM) Windows(TM) 8.1 and Windows 2012 R2 platforms. Enhancement 3: [Critical Patch 2066] Smart Scan Pattern Updates - This Patch improves the performance of Worry-Free Business Security 8.0 Servers by preventing unnecessary Smart Scan Pattern updates. This enhancement can also help to reduce network traffic. 2.2 Resolved Known Issues ==================================================================== Worry-Free Business Security 8.0 Service Pack 1 Patch 1 resolves the following issues: Issue 1: The Security Agent tray icon may not appear on the computer's system tray after users upgrade Worry-Free Business Security to version 8.0 Service Pack 1. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 1: [Hot Fix 2029] This Patch ensures that the Security Agent tray icon appears on the system tray of computers protected by Worry-Free Business Security. Issue 2: Installing the Worry-Free Business Security 8.0 Service Pack 1 Security Agent does not automatically uninstall Sophos Endpoint Security 10.0.10. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 2: [Hot Fix 2039] This Patch ensures that the system uninstalls Sophos Endpoint Security 10.0.10 before installing the Worry-Free Business Security 8.0 Service Pack 1 Security Agent. Issue 3: The error message that appears when the remote installation fails contains incorrect wordings. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 3: [Hot Fix 2039] This Patch corrects the wordings of the error message. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Procedure 3: To update the Worry-Free Business Security ActiveX control component: a. Install this Patch (see "Installation"). b. In Microsoft Internet Explorer(TM) 8 and older versions, go to "Tools > Internet Options > General > Delete Browsing History", check "ActiveX Filtering and tracking protection data", and click "Delete". Skip this step if you are running any higher version of Internet Explorer. c. Close all Internet Explorer browser windows. d. Delete "AtxConsole.ocx" from the "C:\Windows\ Downloaded Program Files\" folder. e. Open an Internet Explorer window, access the Security Server web console, and logon. An "AtxConsole.cab" installation notification screen appears. f. Click "Install". Issue 4: The scan cache goes into an infinite loop which causes manual and scheduled scans to stop at 70% complete. This triggers the Worry-Free Business Security Agent to create large DMP files which can then cause a high CPU usage issue. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 4: [Hot Fix 2033 and 2047] This Patch resolves the infinite loop issue in the scan cache. Issue 5: The Worry-Free Business Security scan process goes into an infinite loop while scanning for boot virus. This causes manual and scheduled scans to stop at 10%. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 5: [Hot Fix 2040] This Patch prevents the infinite loop issue to ensure that the Worry-Free Business Security scan process can successfully scan for boot virus. Issue 6: The EYES driver that comes with the Worry-Free Business Security 8.0 Service Pack 1 package may sometimes report false positives when working with a third-party driver. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 6: [Hot Fix 2062] This Patch updates the EYES driver to help prevent it from reporting false positives. Issue 7: TmListen may stop unexpectedly after Worry-Free Business Security Agent installation. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 7: [Hot Fix 2063] This Patch ensures that TmListen runs normally after Worry-Free Business Security Agent installation. Note: You need to re-install the Security Agent on affected computers after installing this Patch. 3. If you encounter problems after installation, manually roll back the Security Server and Security Agents to their original configuration. 5.2 Uninstallation ==================================================================== To manually roll back to the previous build: 1. Locate the backup folder that the patch package created in the "\PCCSRV\Backup\Patch_1_B2068" directory. 2. Copy any file that you want to roll back to the correct folder. 3. Use the following syntax to run the touch tool: TmTouch.exe {filename} Note: {filename} is the file that you want to roll back.
