About Encryption for Email ======================================================================= Trend Micro Encryption for Email secures your communication by quickly and efficiently encrypting email messages and attachments, ensuring that only intended recipients have access to the contents of your messages. Encryption for Email uses sophisticated elliptic curve encryption algorithms. At the same time, it addresses traditional pain points associated with encryption, including working offline and key management. Known Issues ======================================================================= The following are known issues in this release: ***Internet Explorer*** 7.1 When opening an encrypted message using the Browser Help Object plug-in for the first time, Internet Explorer 9 will display the "Does not support JavaScript" message on the screen. ===================================================================== This issue is externally caused by the Internet Explorer 9 protection mode. It only occurs once when users open an encrypted message using the Brower Help Object plug-in for the first time. 7.2 When opening an encrypted attachment using the AesDecryption Class plug-in, Internet Explorer 11 may display the "This page can't be displayed" message on the screen. ===================================================================== Please disable the AesDecryption Class plug-in, and then open the encrypted attachment again. The profile is created during the Encryption for Email installation. There is no other way to create this profile in Firefox. 7.4 The Online Help system experiences scripting errors when viewed using Internet Explorer 8.0 and earlier. ===================================================================== Apply the following Windows fix to solve the problem: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/175500/en-us. ***Windows 7*** 7.5 When the Trend Micro Encryption Client is trying to update, the bubble pops up saying that "A required update for Windows 7 (KB3033929) is missing. Install the update before updating Encryption for Email.". ===================================================================== Due to the client build uses the dual certificates (SHA1&SHA2) signing for the Microsoft SHA1 Deprecation Policy, the cleint update check must make sure the current operating system can support SHA2 code signing.
