What's New ======================================================================== This Service Pack addresses the following issues and includes the following enhancements: Note: Please install this Service Pack before completing any procedures in this section (see "Installation"). 2.1 Enhancements ==================================================================== Worry-Free Business Security 8.0 Service Pack 1 adds the following enhancement: 2.2 Resolved Known Issues ==================================================================== Worry-Free Business Security 8.0 Service Pack 1 resolves the following issues: [263206, Hot Fix 1334] Issue 1: In opening the MSA management console, version 10 of the Microsoft Internet Explorer(TM) web browser behaves the same way as Internet Explorer 9, however, the corresponding information in the MSA SSL page contains information on Internet Explorer versions 6, 7, 8, and 9 only. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 1: This hot fix modifies the description on the MSA SSL page for Internet Explorer 9 to cover later versions such as Internet Explorer 10 since these versions behave alike in accessing the MSA management console. [266657, Hot Fix 1348] Issue 2: Administrator cannot deploy the Security Agent if the Security Server is installed on the Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 platform. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 2: This hot fix ensures that administrators can deploy the Security Agent when the Security Server is installed on the Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 platform. [265624, Hot Fix 1349] Issue 3: The scan exception list does not accept path names that contain wildcard characters, such as "c:\abc\*\def.txt". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 3: This hot fix allows the scan exception list to accept path names that contain wildcard characters. [266805, Hot Fix 1352] Issue 4: The Security Agent URL Filter and WTP functions restart automatically after users change the Security Agent Language. While restarting, both the Security Agent URL Filter and WTP functions will not work until the proper language setting initiates successfully and users may be able to access blocked sites while these two functions are disabled. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 4: This Service Pack enables administrators to hide the Security Agent Language button in the Security Agent page to prevent users from accidentally making changes to the language setting and momentarily disabling the URL filter and WTP functions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Procedure 4: To display or hide the Security Agent Language button: a. Install this Service Pack (see "Installation"). b. Open the "ofcscan.ini" file in the "\PCCSRV\" folder on the Worry-Free Business Security server installation directory using a text editor. c. Add the following key under the "Global Setting" section and assign the preferred value. [Global Setting] ShowPccntLanguageButton= 0, hides the Security Agent Language button = 1, shows the Security Agent Language button d. Save the changes and close the file. e. Open the Worry-Free Business Security Server web console and go to the "Preferences > Global Settings" screen. f. Click "Save" to deploy the setting to clients. After the settings are deployed to Worry-Free Business Security Agents, the following registry key will be installed: Path: [HKLM\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\PC-cillinNTCorp\ CurrentVersion\OsceIntegrationConfiguration] Key: ShowPccntLanguageButton Type: DWORD Value: 0 or 1 g. Restart the Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security Agent console. [267841, Hot Fix 1355] Issue 5: Some application programming interfaces (APIs) that TMNotify 1.5 uses for the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) are not supported in the Windows XP platform. As a result, the Security Agent cannot load "Tmnotify.dll" and write Windows event logs under this platform. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 5: This hot fix enables TMNotify to support the correct APIs for SNMP under the Windows XP platform to ensure that the Security Agent can successfully load "Tmnotify.dll" and write Windows event logs. [269094, Hot Fix 1361] Issue 6: An error occurs while the Client Packager Tool "ClnPack.exe" that comes with the Worry-Free Business Security server package attempts to create a 32-bit update package. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 6: This hot fix updates the configuration of the Client Packager Tool to ensure that users can use it to create 32-bit update packages. [269625,264096 Hot Fix 1365] Issue 7: On computers where Worry-Free Business Security is installed, the performance of some network applications may slow down noticeably. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 7: This hot fix enables users to create a list of approved URL filter ports in the Worry-Free Business Security server and deploy the list to the Security Agent. Enabling this feature can help improve the performance of network applications in affected computers. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Procedure 7: To create a list of approved URL filter ports in the Worry-Free Business Security server and deploy the list to the Security Agent: a. Install this Service Pack (see "Installation"). b. Open the "ofcscan.ini" file in the "\PCCSRV\" folder on the Worry-Free Business Security server installation directory using a text editor. c. Add the "INI_URL_FILTER_SEG_WHITELIST_SETTING_SECTION" section and the following keys under it and assign an appropriate value for each. [INI_URL_FILTER_SEG_WHITELIST_SETTING_SECTION] SEG_WhiteListPortNum=x, where x is the number of approved ports, supports a maximum of "100" ports SEG_WhiteListPort0=n1 SEG_WhiteListPort1=n2 ... SEG_WhiteListPort99=n100 where "n1", "n2", and "n100" are user-approved ports number. d. Save the changes and close the file. e. Open the Worry-Free Business Security server web console and go to the "Preferences > Global Settings" screen. f. Click "Save" to deploy the setting to clients. After the settings are deployed to Worry-Free Business Security Agents, the following registry keys will be installed: In Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7: [HKLM\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\NSC\TmProxy\WhiteList] In Windows 8: [HKLM\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\Osprey\WhiteList] - SEG_WhiteListPortNum=x (DWORD), specifies the number of approved ports - SEG_WhiteListPort0=n1 (String), specifies a user-approved port number (DEC) - SEG_WhiteListPort1=n2 (String), specifies a user-approved port number (DEC) ... - SEG_WhiteListPort99=n100 (String), specifies a user-approved port number (DEC) The following installed subkeys are based on the number of processes you specified in the "SEG_WhiteListProcNum" key: Path: [HKLM\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\NSC\TmProxy\ WhiteList\portn1] Name: Port Type: REG_DWORD Data: n1 (HEX) ... Path: [HKLM\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\NSC\TmProxy\ WhiteList\portn100] Name: Port Type: REG_DWORD Data: n100(HEX) g. Restart the Trend Micro Security Agent NT Proxy Service on Worry-Free Business Security Agent computers to enable the deployed ports setting in Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7. [271642, Hot Fix 1367] Issue 8: The Security Agent cannot send quarantined files to the Security Server when the quarantined URL is using the Security Server's IP address. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 8: This hot fix enables "PccNTMon.exe" to read the quarantined information from the Worry-Free Business Security client's registry. This can ensure that Security Agents can successfully send quarantined files to a Security Server in cases where a quarantined URL is using the Security Server's IP address. [270629,266139 Hot Fix 1368] Issue 9: Internet Explorer 10 cannot correctly display the antivirus/antispyware configuration page of the Worry-Free Business Security 8.0 console after users add multiple entries in the antivirus/antispyware exclusion list on the same page. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 9: This hot fix enhances the compatibility of Worry-Free Business Security with Internet Explorer 10 to ensure that Internet Explorer 10 can correctly display the Worry-Free Business Security 8.0 antivirus/antispyware configuration page. [270717, Hot Fix 1369] Issue 10: Users encounter the "utilPfwInstCondChecker.exe has detected a problem and needs to close" message repeatedly after installing the Security Agent. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 10: This hot fix updates the "libnetctrl.dll" library to resolve the error. [273038, Hot Fix 1372] Issue 11: The counters under the "URLs Violated" column on the client list in the "Security Settings" page show incorrect information. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 11: This hot fix ensures that the counters under the "URLs Violated" column on the client list in the "Security Settings" page show the correct number. [274287, Hot Fix 1373] Issue 12: The "Anti-Spam" page in the Security Server dashboard does not show the current spam threshold information. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 12: This hot fix ensures that the "Anti-Spam" page in Security Server dashboard displays the current spam threshold information. [275036, Hot Fix 1374] Issue 13: When users run a manual scan while the "Scan mapped drives and shared folders on the network" option is disabled and it scans a network drive before a logical drive, manual scan may map out the wrong drive. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 13: This hot fix ensures that manual scan always maps the correct drives. [275143, Hot Fix 1375] Issue 14: Damage Cleanup Engine cannot clean virus or malware in shared folders or network mapping disks. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 14: This hot fix enables Damage Cleanup Engine to detect and clean virus and malware in shared folders and network mapping disks. Issue 15: On computers running on the Microsoft(TM) Windows(TM) 8 platform and Microsoft(TM) Windows(TM) Server 2012, the performance of network applications slows down after users enable the Web Reputation feature. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 15: This hot fix improves network applications performance while the Web Reputation feature is enabled on computers running on the Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 platform. 3.
