    3. System Requirements


    The OfficeScan server and client can be installed on computers running Microsoft Windows platforms. The OfficeScan client is also compatible with various third-party products.

    4. Installation/Uninstallation


    Installation

     

    To install this critical patch:

    1. Copy the Critical Patch executable file to a temporary folder, for example, "C:\temp".
    2. Double-click the file. The modules are automatically copied to the correct destination.

    This Critical Patch installation package automatically rolls back the OfficeScan server to its previous configuration if there are problems during installation

    If you encounter problems after installation, do a manual rollback.

    Uninstallation

    To manually roll back to its previous configuration:

    1. Locate the backup folder that the Critical Patch package created in the \PCCSRV\Backup\CriticalPatch_B5900 directory.
    2. Copy the backup modules to the original folders.

    5. Post-installation Configuration


    1. Verify that the OfficeScan server has been upgraded.
      1. On the Web console, click Help > About. Version information should be 10.6 SP3 build 5900.
      2. On the Control Manager console, the OfficeScan version should be 5900.
      3. Note: Trend Micro recommends installing Trend Micro Control Manager™ 6.0 SP3 to ensure compatibility with OfficeScan 10.6 SP3.

    2. After installing this critical patch, restart the web browser.
    3. Verify if component update on the server is successful by opening the web console and going to Logs > Server Updates Logs.

    6. Known Issues


    The following are the known issues in this release:

    Server Installation, Upgrade, and Uninstallation

    After you upgrade to OfficeScan 11.0, make sure that you apply OfficeScan 11.0 SP1 Critical Patch 4150 on the server before upgrading the OfficeScan client on computers.

    Rollback Enhancement

    After you upgrade OfficeScan 10.6 SP3 clients to this version, you cannot roll back OfficeScan clients on computers running Windows 10.

    Data Loss Prevention

    The Data Loss Prevention feature does not monitor data transmitted in Microsoft Edge.

    Server Management

    The web console does not support Microsoft Edge.
