Patch Release Information ============================================================================== 1.1 Resolved Known Issues ============================================================================ This Patch resolves the following issue(s): Issue 1: Intel CPUs suffer the vulnerabilities mentioned in CVE-2017-5753 and CVE-2017-5754. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 1: This patch resolves these vulnerabilities. Issue 2: Control Manager does not show Deep Discovery Email Inspector (DDEI) information in the distribution list on the "Virtual Analyzer Suspicious Object" page even though the Suspicious Object has been deployed onto a DDEI. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 2: This patch resolves this issue so that the distribution list shows the DDEI information after the Suspicious Object (SO) finishes deploying. 1.2 Enhancements ============================================================================ The following enhancements are included in this Patch: Enhancement: This patch updates the resource monitor in the Usandbox module (Usandbox 5.1.1206 with SandCastle 6.0.2452) . 2. Installation/Uninstallation ============================================================================== This section explains key steps for installing the Patch. 4.1 Installing ============================================================================ To install: 1. Click "Administration > Product Updates > Hot Fixes / Patches". The "Install Hot Fix / Patch" screen appears. 2. Click "Browse" and select the "ddei_30_lx_en_patch1_b1246.7z.tar" patch file. 3. Click "Install". 4. Verify that the patch has been installed successfully. a. Click "Administration > Product Updates > Hot Fixes / Patches". In the "History" table, check if the "Build" is "1246" and "Description" is "Hot Fix 1246". b. Choose the "About" option under "Help". c. Verify that the "Hot fix" number on the "About" page is "1246". 5. Clean the web browser cache. NOTES: * The program version for the device will NOT change after applying this patch. * Deep Discovery Email Inspector 3.0 GM restarts automatically after installing this patch. 4.2 Uninstalling ============================================================================ This patch cannot be rolled back. 5. Post-installation Configuration ============================================================================== No post-installation steps are required. NOTE: Trend Micro recommends that you update your scan engine and virus pattern files immediately after installing the product. 6. Prior hotfixes were tested at the time of their release. [Hotfix 1194] Issue 1: When users go to the "Policies > Policy Object" page, the navigation bar shows a "You are here: Policies > Exceptions" message. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 1: This hotfix corrects the wording issue so that the navigation bar shows a "You are here: Policies > Policy Object" message when the user is on the "Policies > Policy Object" page. Issue 2: Time-of-Click Protection fails to rewrite the URL if SAL does not detect any risk in the URL. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution 2: This hotfix resolves the issue so that Time-of-Click Protection rewrites the URL sent to SAL if it does not contain any risk. Enhancement: This hotfix updates the integration protocol with Control Manager so that Deep Discovery Email Inspector (DDEI) sends the URL threat name to Control Manager. 8.
