Critical Patch Release Information ============================================================================== 1.1 Resolved Known Issues ============================================================================ This critical patch resolves the following issue: Issue: In ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange 12.5, the Predictive Machine Learning and Virtual Analyzer features are not compatible with Advanced Threat Scan Engine (ATSE) 11.x. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solution: This Critical Patch enables Predictive Machine Learning and Virtual Analyzer to work with ATSE 11.x. 1.2 Enhancements ============================================================================ There are no enhancements for this Critical Patch release. 2. Installation/Uninstallation ============================================================================== This section explains key steps for installing the Critical Patch. 4.1 Installing ============================================================================ To install, run "smex_125_sp1_win_en_criticalpatch1_b2011.exe" and select "Install". The framework automatically installs the hotfix to the correct directory, replaces the outdated files, and updates the database. The "Successfully completed" count increases upon the completion of the installation. NOTE: This hotfix automatically restarts Microsoft Exchange Transport service. 4.2 Uninstalling ============================================================================ To roll back to the previous build, run the installation package "smex_125_sp1_win_en_criticalpatch1_b2011.exe" and select "uninstall". NOTE: The previous method of uninstalling using "uninstall.bat" is no longer supported. 5. Post-installation Configuration ============================================================================== No post-installation steps are required. NOTE: Trend Micro recommends that you update your scan engine and virus pattern files immediately after installing the product. 6.
