  1. About Trend Micro Security (for Mac)
  ======================================================================
 
     1.1 Overview of this Release
     ===================================================================
     This Patch enables Trend Micro Security (for Mac) to support 
     Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan and includes solutions from hot fixes 
     released after Patch 1.

     1.2 Who Should Install this Release
     ===================================================================
     You should install this Patch if you plan to upgrade Mac OS X to 
     version 10.11.


  2. What's New
  ======================================================================

     This Patch addresses the following issues and includes the following 
     enhancement:
   
     2.1 Enhancements 
     ===================================================================
     The following enhancement is included in this Patch:

     Enhancement 1:  Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan Support - This Patch
                     enables Trend Micro Security (for Mac) to support 
                     Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan.

     2.2 Resolved Known Issues
     ===================================================================
     This Patch resolves the following issues:
    
     Issue 1:    When the Web Reputation feature is enabled, the Trend 
                 Micro Security (for Mac) 2.0 agent stops unexpectedly 
                 while users attempt to access web sites with URLs that 
                 contain three forward slashes "/", for example 
                 "http:///xxx/xxx.xx".
                 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Solution 1: 
     [Hot Fix 3040] This Patch ensures that users can successfully 
                    access these web sites when the Web Reputation 
                    feature is enabled on the Trend Micro Security (for 
                    Mac) 2.0 agent. 

     Issue 2:    Computers protected by Trend Micro Security (for 
                 Mac) 2.0 may slow down while reading data from a 
                 music CD.
                 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Solution 2: 
     [Hot Fix 3042] This Patch improves the performance of affected 
                    computers so that these can read data from a music 
                    CD without issues. 

     Issue 3:    The Time Machine Backup feature runs very slowly on 
                 Macs protected by Trend Micro Security (for Mac) 2.0.
                 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Solution 3: 
     [Hot Fix 3048] This Patch improves the performance of the Time 
                    Machine Backup feature in Macs protected by Trend 
                    Micro Security (for Mac) 2.0.

     Issue 4:    The Web Reputation debug log is enabled by default and 
                 may be triggered by commonly-accessed web sites. 
                 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Solution 4: 
     [Hot Fix 3049] This Patch lowers the debug level of debug logs to 
                    minimize the possibility of commonly-accessed web 
                    sites triggering these logs. After applying this 
                    Patch, Web Reputation debug logs will no longer 
                    display scanned URLs.

     Issue 5:    Large files are generated in the "/common/lib/vsapi/
                 tmp/" folder when Time Machine runs a backup task on 
                 the Yosemite platform.
                 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Solution 5: 
     [Hot Fix 3058] This Patch resolves this issue by enabling Trend 
                    Micro Security (for Mac) to skip Time Machine back up 
                    files during scans.

     Issue 6:    Kernel panic occurs after a Mac protected by Trend Micro
                 Security (for Mac) 2.0 wakes up from sleep mode.
                 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Solution 6: 
     [Hot Fix 3058] This Patch prevents the kernel panic issue in 
                    affected Macs.

     Issue 7:    The popup notification for scheduled scans appears 
                 several times more after users click the "OK" button in 
                 the first popup window. 
                 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Solution 7: 
     [Hot Fix 3060] This Patch ensures that the popup notification for 
                    scheduled scans no longer appears after users click 
                    on the "OK" button in the current popup window.

     o Administrator's Guide (AG) -- Provides post-installation 
       instructions on how to configure the settings to help you get
       Trend Micro Security (for Mac) "up and running". Also includes 
       instructions on performing other administrative tasks for the 
       day-to-day maintenance of Trend Micro Security (for Mac).
     
     o Readme.txt files -- version enhancements, basic installation,
       known issues, and release history.

  4. System Requirements

     Trend Micro Security (for Mac) 2.0 has the following installation 
     requirements:


     4.1 Trend Micro Security Server
     ====================================================================

     a. Trend Micro OfficeScan(TM) Server 11, 10.6, 10.5, 10.0, 
        or 8.0 Service Pack 1 or later

     b. Plug-in Manager 2.0 or 1.0 with the latest patch
       
     c. Trend Micro Security (for Mac) 2.0.3024 or above

     Note: Refer to the Trend Micro Security (for Mac) server 
           documentation for a list of minimum system requirements.


     4.2 Trend Micro Security Client
     ==================================================================

     a. Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan 

     b. Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite or later

     c. Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks or later

     d. Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion or later
   
     e. Mac OS X 10.7 Lion or later 

     f. Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard(TM) or later 

     g. Mac OS X 10.5.5 Leopard or later


  5. Installation/Uninstallation
  ======================================================================
    
     5.1 Installation
     ===================================================================
     To install this Patch on the server:

     1. Create a backup of the following files in another location, for 
        example, "C:\temp\TMSM_Backup".

        - C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\Addon\TMSM
          \TMSM_HTML\ActiveUpdate\server.ini

        - C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\Addon\TMSM
          \TMSM_HTML\ActiveUpdate\product

        - C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\Addon\TMSM
          \TMSM_HTML\ActiveUpdate\ClientInstall
             
     2. Copy the Patch files to a temporary folder on the Trend Micro 
        Security Server machine, for example, 
        "TMSM_20_SP1_Patch2_B3061.zip".

     3. Double-click the "TMSMPatchAgentCmd.exe" file under the 
        temporary folder where you extracted the patch files.

     4.2 Uninstallation
     ===================================================================
     There are no uninstallation steps provided.
     
     
  6. Post-installation Configuration
  ======================================================================
     No post-installation steps are required.

     Note: Trend Micro recommends that you update your scan engine and  
           virus pattern files immediately after installing this Patch.
