1. About Trend Micro(TM) Smart Protection Server
========================================================================
   Trend Micro(TM) Smart Protection Server uses File Reputation
   and Web Reputation technology to detect security risks. Trend
   Micro(TM) Smart Protection Server hosts virus/malware/web threat
   pattern definitions, and makes these definitions available to other
   computers on the network to verify potential threats.

   Once installed, Trend Micro Smart Protection Server can be
   integrated seamlessly with Trend Micro products that support Smart
   Protection Server.


2. What's New
========================================================================
   The following new features are available in Smart Protection Server:
     
   2.1 New in Smart Protection Server 3.2
   =====================================================================

      2.1.1 New Platform Support
      ------------------------------------------------------------------
      Smart Protection Server has updated the installed operating system
      to CentOS 7.3.

      2.1.2 Support for TLS v1.2
      ------------------------------------------------------------------
      Smart Protection Server has resolved several issues to support TLS v1.2.
      
      2.1.3 Fixed Issue in Build 3.2.1078 (Repack)
      ------------------------------------------------------------------
      Fixed a logical volume issue that causes Smart Protection Server 
      to hang after the first-time reboot following the product installation.
      
      2.1.4 Fixed Issue in Build 3.2.1085 (Repack 2)
      ------------------------------------------------------------------
      a. Improved the prefix (netmask) input field upon installation to 
	  support both dotted decimal style and CIDR bitmask.
      
      b. Fixed command errors in CLI (command line interface) enabling the 
	     host name and time zone to display correctly by "show" command.


   2.2 Resolved Known Issues
   =====================================================================

   A. Smart Protection Server 3.2 resolves the following product issues:

   B. Detailed Information
   ------------------------

   Hotfix 1028

   Issue:        Smart Protection Server 3.1 does not disable the
                 "AutoComplete" attribute for passwords used in the
                 authentication forms.

   Solution:     This hotfix resolves the issue by disabling the
                 "AutoComplete" attribute for passwords used in the
                 authentication forms.

   Critical Patch 1030

   Issue:        Smart Protection Server 3.1 is affected by a certain
                 vulnerability.

   Solution:     This critical patch updates some PHP pages in the Smart
                 Protection Server 3.1 console to resolve the
                 vulnerability.

   In addition to this readme.txt, the documentation set for this
   product includes the following:

   o Installation and Upgrade Guide (IUG) -- Provides product overview,
     deployment plan, installation steps and basic information intended
     to  help you deploy Smart Protection Server smoothly. 
     
   o Administrator's Guide (AG) -- Provides post-installation
     instructions on how to configure the settings to help you get 
     Smart Protection Server "up and running". Also includes 
     instructions on performing other administrative tasks for the
     day-to-day maintenance of Smart Protection Server.
     
   Electronic versions of the printed manuals are available at:

   o Online help -- Context-sensitive help screens that provide guidance
     for performing a task.

   o Knowledge Base -- a searchable database of known product issues, 
     including specific problem-solving and troubleshooting topics.

4. System Requirements
========================================================================
   The following are the changes to the Virtual Machine requirements:

   - Allocate at least 2GB of RAM to the Virtual Machine. Trend Micro
     recommends you allocate 4GB.
   - Specify at least 50GB of disk space.
   

   The following virtualization platforms are now supported:

   1) VMware(TM) ESXi Server 6.5, 6.0 Update 2, 5.5 Update 3b
   2) Microsoft(TM) Windows Server(TM) 2008 R2 with Hyper-V(TM)
   3) Microsoft Windows Server 2012 with Hyper-V
   4) Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 with Hyper-V
   5) Microsoft Windows Server 2016 with Hyper-V
   6) Citrix(TM) XenServer(TM) 7.1, 7.0, 6.5
   

   The following virtualization platforms are no longer supported:

   1) All VMware ESX/ESXi Server versions below 5.5. For more

   2) Citrix XenServer 6.2, 6.0, 5.6

7. Known Issues
========================================================================
   The following lists a known issue in this release:

   7.1
   =====================================================================
   After using the Migration Tool to migrate settings from Smart
   Protection Server 3.x, connections to all Smart Protection Servers in
   the "Server Visibility" screen will be lost. 
   
   To resolve this issue:
   
   1. Go to "Server Visibility"
   2. For each server, click the button under the "Edit" column
   3. Type the password of the remote Smart Protection Server
   4. Click "Save"
