2. What's New
========================================================================
This patch contains all fixes for problems that were found after the
release of ScanMail for Domino Version 3.0 for Windows Service Pack 2
   (build 3187).

2.1 Resolved Known Issues (from Previous Versions)
   =====================================================================
The following known issues have been resolved in this patch
       release:

       - ScanMail 3.0 removes the ROUTESERVERS field in mail documents.

       - ScanMail 3.0 cannot insert Portuguese (language) disclaimers
         into mail messages.

       - ScanMail 3.0 may hang when scanning large SMTP mail messages
that use an ISO-8895-1 character set.

       - With Domino version 5, an error message displays when you
attempt to open the smVlog database.

       - SMD3.0 displays an improper message when scanning a password
protected zip file that contains a virus.

       - After installing SMD3.0 Windows, SMD3.0 deleted temporary mail
messages, which in turn, prevented held messages from being
         held.

       - SMD3.0 update does not work properly if the incremental update
database version is different from the running version.

       - SMDtemp files consume excessive disk space.

       - The router continues to send mail when "hold undeliverable mail"
         is enabled.

       - ScanMail for Domino for Windows real-time scanner is sometimes
unable to properly handle malformed end-of-string characters
when scanning double-byte (Asian) character strings. A
malformed character occurs when Domino encounters an
end-of-string mark that is placed between the first and second
bytes of a double-byte character. This problem can cause a
         Domino server to crash.

       - SMD monitor notification doesn't support the %SERVER% tag, and
it doesn't support the use of any tags in the subject.

       - SMDreal reads settings from the default SERVER SETTINGS document
only. It cannot read settings from other SERVER SETTINGS
         documents.

       - ScanMail for Domino does not notify the administrator about the
outcome of pattern file, scan engine, or program updates.

       - A potential performance issue can occur when ScanMail for
Domino for Windows continues to check inbound mail sender
domains when spam mail checking has been disabled.

       - eManager(TM) stops responding when ScanMail for Domino for
Windows encounters certain PDF and Excel attachments during
         content filtering scans.

       - In environments with multiple Domino servers, emails that require
administrator approval are not being forwarded to the recipient
after the administrator has approved the email for routing to the
         recipient.

       - If you set the attachment filter to block compressed files that
contain DOS COM true file types, a compressed file that
contained text files smaller than 64 KB would also be blocked
because the scan engine detected these small text files as DOS
         command files and blocked them.

       - If the return address and administrator address of a
notification are set to the same user group, the notification
         will not be sent out.

       - ScanMail for Domino detects certain kinds of SMTP mail as being
UUENCODE mail when the mail is not UUENCODE. Although the mail
contains an attachment, the attachment filter treats the message
as having only body text and it does not correctly handle the
attachment, and allows the attachment to pass.

       - If "clean the compressed file" is set and the action on
uncleanable files is "delete", viruses in certain compressed
files could pass through the virus scan.
