2. What's New
========================================================================
This Service Pack contains all fixes for problems that were found
after the release of ScanMail for Domino version 3.0 (build 1280).

   Installation Improvement

Before the release of this Service Pack, you had to stop the Domino
server and run an installation program to apply a hot fix package or
Service Pack for ScanMail for Domino. With this Service Pack, you can
use a silent installation feature that allows you to install updates
   without stopping the Domino Server.

2.1 Resolved Known Issues (from Previous Versions)
   =====================================================================
The following known issues have been resolved in this Service Pack:

   - A message with a large body sometimes causes ScanMail to return an
     NDR error.

   - Receipt notifications are sent when opening messages in the
     ScanMail Quarantine database.

   - ScanMail crashes when a user account with more than eight (8) alias
     names is signed in.

   - ScanMail takes a considerable amount of time to process large-sized
     SMTP messages.

   - ScanMail uses case-sensitive comparison when evaluating message addresses.

   - The ScanMail build number displayed on the Summary screen does not
     match the actual program build.

   - ScanMail for Domino sometimes classified messages as spam, even though
they came from domains on the Approved Senders list.

   - ScanMail for Domino selects the wrong rule to scan mail containing
documents with the same document ID.

   - ScanMail for Domino cannot match a specified rule correctly if
the address book contains multiple contacts with identical first
and last names when one of which also contains a middle name. For
example, if the address book contains "John Doe" and "John Lee Doe,"
and only John Doe is in group "A," ScanMail treats both usernames
     as being in group "A."

   - ScanMail for Domino's scheduled scan consumes high processing power
when simultaneously run on several Domino servers that use different
     policies and name-and-address-book (NAB) databases.

   - ScanMail for Domino quits unexpectedly when it encounters an invalid
     email address.

   - The ScanMail content filter does not always properly match keywords
if the message uses a double-byte character set (DBCS).

   - ScanMail for Domino is unable to detect viruses on email messages
that are sent in a format inconsistent with Simple Mail Transfer
     Protocol (SMTP).

   - The module "smvlog.nsf" of ScanMail for Domino does not display
the correct statistics if the database contains large logs.

   - The temporary file that ScanMail for Domino uses was generated in
an incorrect location. ServerProtect scans the ScanMail temporary
file, even though the ScanMail temporary file folder is on the
ServerProtect exclude list. Depending upon the settings configured
in ServerProtect, the incorrect location sometimes interferes with
     the correct operation of ScanMail.

   - ScanMail doesn't purge the out-of-date pattern files after updating
the pattern files from the database.

   - ScanMail sends notification mail into a user's draft mailbox rather
     than a user's inbox mailbox.
